Let the train take the strain! There’s no fuss with the bus!
Getting to intu Metrocentre this Christmas is quick and easy by bus or by train.
To help make your journey as easy as possible, we’ve produced a summary of services over for the festive period. However we do advise you check operators’ websites for the times of last services if travelling on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or New Year’s Eve, just in case!

Bus Services (Arriva/Go North East/Stagecoach)
• 21st / 22nd / 23rd December – Normal weekday services by all operators
• Christmas Eve – Arriva: Normal weekday service, last buses around 6pm-7pm;
Go North East & Stagecoach: a Saturday service, last buses around 6pm-7pm
• Christmas Day – NO SERVICES
• Boxing Day – see our Boxing Day page for details
• Sunday 27th December – Normal Sunday services by all operators
• 28th / 29th / 30th December – A full Saturday service will be in operation by all operators
• New Year’s Eve  – A Saturday service will be in operation by all operators, last buses around 6pm-7pm
• New Year’s Day – NO SERVICES


Services then resume their normal timetable from Saturday 2nd January 2016

Fast and convenient bus links to/from the Metro are available at both Monument (Stagecoach 100) and Gateshead (Go North East X66).
• 21st / 22nd / 23rd and 29th / 30th December – Normal weekday service
• Christmas Eve – Normal weekday service until around 1830, then an hourly service until around 2300, see link below

• Boxing Day – A Saturday service will operate from 0800-2100, see link below
• Sunday 27th December – Normal Sunday service
• Monday 28th December – A full Saturday service will be in operation
