Maths Trail

Steve Humble (also known as Dr. Maths) from Newcastle University’s School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences, has devised a tour of the centre where children have to answer 14 different maths questions.

The maths trail starts at the coach and railway station and goes around the different sections of the centre, before ending up in the blue mall. The questions include estimating the number of people who go up an escalator in an hour and calculating the size of glass panels. Download your copy of the Maths Trail here.

Play area

The outdoor play area at intu Metrocentre Qube is designed to provide challenging fun for children from 3-10 years old. With a fireman's pole, climbing walls, and dance chimes there are plenty of activities to keep little ones entertained and give mums and dads a rest!

The play area is located outside the entrance to the new intu Metrocentre Qube near the yellow mall car park. Please note that children must be supervised when in the play area.
